In recent years, the DC Police Foundation has funded:
- Summer camps and mentoring programs for at-risk city youth,
- Technology to help start a specialized law enforcement unit combating internet crimes against children,
- Equipment for MPD's Wolverines youth football and cheerleading league in MPD's 3rd District community and neighborhood basketball tournaments,
- Resources to support MPD's yearly community outreach events city-wide, and
- Support for better technology to enhance the crime fighting effectiveness of the Metropolitan Police Department such as modern PCP detectors.
